2018 AOSA Photo Contest Sponsored by Allergan
How do you best depict glaucoma through a photograph (literal or abstract)?
You could win up to a $750 travel grant to Optometry's Meeting in June in Denver, courtesy of Allergan!
They say a picture is worth a thousand words...so all you have to submit are 25 words! Enter your photo and a 25-word-or-less description below.
Entries accepted until May 4th at midnight PDT.
Prizes: First Place winner will get a $750 travel grant to Optometry's Meeting, June 20-23, 2018, in Denver! Second place is a $500 travel grant and third place will win a $350 travel grant.
47 other students will win $250 travel grants, all courtesy of Allergan! The top 3 photos will appear in AOSA's Foresight magazine in 2018.
Rules: No more than 1 submission per student, and each must be accompanied by a description (25 words or less) of how the photo represents the symptoms that a patient suffers when he or she suffers from glaucoma or blindness. Of course you agree that AOSA has permission to reproduce and share your photo. You cannot re-submit a photo that has been submitted in prior years.
All 50 winners are strongly encouraged to attend a special Luncheon sponsored by Allergan, on Saturday, June 23rd in Denver.
Judging will be conducted by AOSA's Media & Marketing Committee, representing a range of schools and interests.

The Fine Print:
• All photographs are subject to inspection by the AOSA Executive Council and Executive Director.
• By entering the contest, entrants grant the American Optometry Student Association (AOSA) and Allergan a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any educational, promotional, publicity, exhibition, archival, scholarly and all other standard AOSA/Allergan purposes.
• Persons submitting photographs must be a current AOSA member in good standing.
• Limit one entry per eligible student.
*Please make sure the photo you submit is your own property! If two people are involved in taking the photograph make sure you decide prior to submission who will receive the prize. If two different people submit the same photograph it will not be considered.
I understand that by submitting my design, I am assigning rights to the image to the AOSA and Allergan, and give permission for them to reproduce the design without limitation.
